PDFForge provides free browser-based tools for everyday document tasks: merge PDF files, split chapters, convert pages and images, and organize working copies. Practical guides explain what each operation changes so that users can choose a suitable workflow rather than treating a completion message as a quality guarantee.

Document processing on your device

Our document tools process selected content in your browser instead of intentionally uploading it to a PDF processing server. Files, extracted summary passages, and typed text are not stored by these tools. The site still loads ordinary web resources, advertising, and analytics on some pages. Downloaded files and documents you voluntarily email are outside that local processing boundary.

A clear approach to AI

The AI PDF Summarizer uses lightweight local extractive sentence scoring, not a generative language model. AI Text to PDF formats text you supply using jsPDF. AI Image to PDF fits supplied images to PDF pages automatically. These tools do not call AI inference APIs, generate new prose or images, or perform OCR.

Practical limits

Keep original documents and inspect every output. Page operations can affect signatures or advanced PDF features, and image-based compression can remove searchable text. Browser memory and file limits affect large jobs. Read the Disclaimer and our PDF guides for specific trade-offs.

Who the tools are for

A student can combine lecture handouts, a job applicant can turn a scan into a PDF, and a small business can put an invoice packet in order. Each task starts with your own files and produces a download you can inspect. PDFForge does not certify documents or replace a full desktop PDF editor.

How we write and maintain our guides

Our guides explain specific document tasks, including the compromises involved in conversion and compression. We distinguish local extractive summaries from generative AI and describe features that the current tools actually offer. We do not publish invented user ratings, testimonials, or promises of perfect output. If instructions do not match a tool, send the page URL and a description through our contact page so the guidance can be reviewed.

Advertising and independence

The tools are available without a subscription. PDFForge includes Google advertising code, and ads may support operating costs when enabled. Advertisements are separate from our instructions and do not constitute a recommendation of an advertiser. You never need to click an advertisement to use a tool or download its output.
